This is a space for Grades 7-12 classes to introduce themselves to the #globalclassroom community.

We are looking forward to learning more about you, and where you come from!

SJCPOS Form 1s 2012 ST. JOSEPH'S CONVENT PORT OF SPAIN TRINIDAD, WEST INDIES.

This is us!
This is us!

We are the Form 1 year group (freshers) at our school. There are 121 of us, all girls.

Our librarian, Ms. Heywood is crazy. Crazy about reading and books, and computers and technology and finding cool, new ways to do things. We study 14 subjects this year and we think we're going to have fun, co-operating, working together and learning with the friends we're going to meet in the Global Classroom!

This year is the 50th anniversary of Trinidad and Tobago's independence and we discovered a lot about our country that we never knew before, Our Global Classroom activities will give us a chance to share a lot of this. First, we're exchanging bookmarks with schools in FIVE countries, Croatia, Hong Kong, Ireland, Pakistan and the United States of America!

Each handmade bookmark showed something very special about our country, something unique and specially Trinbagonian. Then just because we know that a little T&T is never enough, we will create a canvas of artifacts to tell you more about our school, our city and our wonderful country. (This isn't completed yet, we're still working on our glogs...)
We hope that other schools, will join us and share about their country so that in the end, we can all know more about our unique lands and peoples and recognise the common legacies we all share. Our project will be called Commonwealth Commons and we are hoping to find partners in all 54 countries in the Commonwealth!
