The Global Classroom Scrapbook project is an opportunity for teachers, students, and parents around the world to share their stories, classrooms, and local communities with the world through their contributions to our globe-trotting scrapbooks, and the companion wiki.
How Can I Get Involved?
Until such times we can obtain funding to cover the full costs of this project, contributions to the travelling scrapbooks remain invitation-only. However, if you are interested in creating & sending off YOUR OWN travelling scrapbook, I am VERY happy to share promotional materials & the list of interested teachers.
Can you help cover costs?
What makes this project unique is that we are creating physical artefacts - these are real scrapbooks which are travelling to around 20 countries around the world over the years to come. One key goal of this project is to reach teachers and students in remote, isolated, and impoverished areas of the world - including remote Nepal and Sierra Leone. Unfortunately, the necessity of using DHL couriers to access these countries makes this project expensive.
As a relief (substitute) teacher (without the financial support of a school), I would greatly appreciate any donations towards covering the costs of this project. This will enable me to continue & expand this project over the years to come.
A rough breakdown of costs for this project is as follows:
3 x Sketchbooks - $39
3 x World Maps - $30
Initial Postage (out of Australia) - $150
DHL Courier - estimated $150*
Thank you to the kind people who have already contributed to this very special project.
