Become a Registered #globalclassroom Teacher*

How you choose to participate in the #globalclassroom community is up to you; however, we strongly encourage teachers to formally register for Global Classroom 2012-13, AND join this wiki. This enables us to keep accurate records, and helps us connect international teachers working in similar subject / learning areas / year levels.

Note: If you have already registered (through 2011-12), there is no need to re-register for Global Classroom 2012-13. Please email globalclassroomorganisers @ gmail.com if you need to update your contact details.

The Handshake
When you've registered (and joined the wiki), you're invited to share a Teacher and Classroom Handshake - introducing your class to the #globalclassroom community. You can find out more details about this special project here (complete with examples and video tutorials).

Share Your Stories & Projects With the World

Over the course of 2012, we developed the The Global Classroom Project blog and wiki spaces into vibrant, community driven platforms for sharing teachers' projects, classroom stories, and #globalclassroom experiences.

In 2012-13, we hope to share yours.

If you have a story or project to share, you are welcome to guest post on our blog, and/or add a project description to our wiki (this one). We'll help publicise your work through our extensive social networks, introduce you to people working on similar ideas / subject areas, and provide assistance if you need it.

We are interested in showcasing your classroom stories, students’ learning, local communities, and cultures with authentic global audiences. We are happy to guest-post articles from teachers’ and class blogs, and are particularly keen to feature stories from your students - helping to make their voices heard on the world stage.

Working together, we can flatten our classroom walls, and enable our students' to become active, informed, collaborative global citizens.
